Greater New Hope Baptist Church

ABOUT OUR PASTOR
On January 17, 1999, through a vision from God, Pastor Lairry founded and organized the Greater New Hope Baptist Church. Organizational meetings were conducted at his home and at Glenview Recreational Center. By February, Pastor Lairry moved his congregation to a location in McAlmont. With a growing congregation, this location proved to be temporary. After successful negotiations by Pastor Lairry and his officers, on August 15, 1999, the congregation relocated to its present home in Levy. Pastor Lairry continually stresses to his congregation " to never forget from whence God has brought us to this beautiful House of Worship built upon a rock." The congregation is a member of the National Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc. and the Union District Association of the consolidated Missionary Baptist State Convention. Pastor Lairry is a hands-on leader. He supports his congregation and community. He has the food, clothing, prison, and mission ministries in place. He believes that " we must remember how far God has brought us, up out of the hog pens of life. Also, that we can pull someone else up by the shining of our light and the sharing of our testimony.
